Pruning
Ornamental garden trees require minimal maintenance, but a little sensible pruning can ensure the tree remains healthy and safe and grows in an attractive shape.
Pollarding
Pollarding is a method of pruning that keeps trees and shrubs smaller than they would naturally grow. It is normally started once a tree or shrub reaches a certain height, and annual pollarding will restrict the plant to that height.
Felling / Removal
It may be necessary to completely remove a tree from your property. In this case, we will carry out a risk assessment to discover whether the job can safely be carried out at once or must be broken into sections.
Topping
A tree in your property may be causing issues due to height. Topping is the process of trimming down the tree to an acceptable level. The main reasons we top trees is often due to them encroaching on power or phone lines or due to snow damage.

Crown Reduction
A crown reduction is a pruning technique that removes weight from the end of branches back to a healthy, growing lateral branch, which will form a new crown. The process reduces long, heavy, or overextended branches, as well as removing any branches with significant defects. The result is a smaller crown, without reducing the structural integrity of the tree.

The guys turned up at the agreed time and did an excellent job in trimming back a dividing hedge & cutting back vastly overgrown trees in my parents garden (despite challenging weather)

recently reduced the size of two overgrown willows in my garden. The trees were blocking out so much light, shading most of the garden. I am very pleased with the results. My trees are much shorter, but still look like trees. The guys work like a well oiled machine. Very efficient and organised, and polite. Nice and tidy afterwards too. I would recommend these guys.
